Swim History
What started in 2020 with nine SSG swimmers going for a long swim, 2025 will be the 6th consecutive year. It has been called the Australia Day Swim, the Pavilion Swim and most recently the Moreton Bay Swim.
Over those years SSG Multisports has invited its members, SSG social media followers, local sports clubs and the public.
In 2025, we invite YOU to be part of this great event's history.

2020
9 SSG Multisports Swimmers
Swim 4.5km from Suttons beach to Scotts point and back

2021
60 Swimmers
SSG invited its social media followers to join the swim. 40 swimmers from the public joined 20 SSG swimmers.

Two distances were available. 4.5km Scotts Point return swim & 2km Glasshouse swim.

2022
400 Swimmers
Formal sponsorship saw the rebranding of the swim to 'The Pavilion Swim'.
Three timed distances (4.5km, 2km & 1km). All swim courses were made up of a 500m loop in front of Suttons Beach. A family friendly 'inflatable race' was offered for the first time, much to the delight of the young and old.

2023
120 Swimmers

SSG invite local sports clubs and limited public entries.

The original courses were re-introduced with the 4.5km Scotts Point return, the 2km Glasshouse and introducing a 1km swim from Glasshouse back to Suttons beach.

2024
37 Swimmers

Back to basics, SSG Multisports held a members only event.
We swam the 4.5km Scotts Point return and the 2km Glasshouse routes.

With 300 swimmers, this was our biggest event to date. Swimmers could choose from 4 km, 2 km and 1 km courses, as well as the return of our popular inflatables dash. We were grateful for a grant from the Moreton Bay City Council, as well as corporate sponsors.
